Blood and Sweat

Sabi nila, kapag nagtrabaho ka raw, dugo't pawis ang ilalaan mo para magtagumpay at kumita. Sa pageenroll sa PUP, pawis lang pero sobrang pawis.

Pumunta na ako nuong Lunes sa PUP para bumili lamang ng patch (parang ang babaw ng rason ko at gumastos pa ako ng pamasahe). Nasa gate pa lamang ako, nakita ko na yung ng PUP, meron agad aberya. Kailangan pala suotin pa yung ID kahit wala nang pasok. E di siyempre sita nanaman ng gwardya. Narito ang aming paguusap.

Guard: Sandali lang.
Ako: bakit?
Guard: ID mo? (tunog "kadete")
Ako: Ito po. (buti na lang ibnulsa ko yung ID ko.)
Guard: Isusuot mo ito para hindi ka masita blah, blah, blah, chorva..etc...
Ako: Sorry po.
Guard: Anong year ka na ba?
Ako: Mageenrol po ako. (sinabi ko na lang to para matapos na.)
Guard: anong year?
Ako: 3rd year po.
Guard: (di nagsalita. Tiningnan ang ID)
Ako: highschool po.
Guard: highschool?
Ako: Oo. (medyo naiinis na ako kasi patch lang naman bibilhin ko, nauubos na yung oras ko sa walang ka-kwenta kwentang usapan namin.)
Guard: ah. Okay.

Natapos din yung walang kwenta naming paguusap. Pagdating sa grounds, hindi ako makapasok. Andami kasing college. Hindi ko rin alam kung saan ako dadaan or pupunta or kung nasaan located yung bilihan ng uniform. Siyempre tanong tanong at nakita ko rin yung bilihan ng patch. Luckily, nakabili ako at nakauwi rin.

Ngayon naman,

Enrollment ngayon ng 3rd year highschool. Nakasulat naman sa Multily Calendar ko. Di na ganoon karami ang college. Pagdating sa AVR, nalaman ko na kailangan pang i-renew yung ID ko! (di naman kasi ako nasabihan. At nung pirmahan nung clearance, wala ring masamang remarks ukol sa ID ko.) Nagpabalik-balik tuloy ako, lakad, takbo, lakad, lakad, takbo, hinga. Inabutan ko si Ephraim. Tila tapos na sila magbayad sa cashier. Kasama niya sila Cesar. Medyo umiinit na rin yung ulo ko kasi napapagod na ako at tinatamad na ako kakapila. Nakuha ko na rin ang libro ko at etc. Ang kailangan ko nalang kuhanin ay yung ID.

Dahil nga nakuha ko na yung libro ko, kailangan ko umuwi agad dahil sa tatlong rason. Una, maaring magusot o madumihan ang libro, pangalawa, nasira na yung buhok ko at napakainit na ng lalakaran ko. At huli ay napakabigat. PArang 3 kilong bigas lang naman pero hindi kasi siya naka-plastic. Straw ang pinangtali dito (hindi yung ginagamit sa panginom). Kaya mamumuo ang dugo mo sa part na nabigyan ng todong pressure sa daliri. Merong mga taong considerate na nagbibigay ng daan at yung iba naman ay talagang walang utak at nakatayo lang sa gitna.

Sa ngayon, hindi pa naprocess yung ID ko. Hihintayin ko nalang uli ang pasukan. Kitakits nalang muli!

Anyways, saan ba yung PAO sa PUP? I mean saang lugar? Sa main building daw pero saan banda? Salamat sa sasagot!

Kailan ba sila maiaalis?

Habang naglalaro ako ng GTA San Andreas, naisip kong gawin ang post na ito. Ang San Andreas ay matagal ko na natapos at naisip na ulitin muli. Bago ko pa man matapos ang San Andreas nagkaroon ng problema ang PC at sinira ang buong laro na sa kasamaang palad ay hindi ko naiback-up yung saved games. Ngunit dahil na rin sa aking paggamit ng talino, nakakuha ako ng saved file na kaparehas ng aking tinapos na mission. Ang maganda pa, kumpleto na nya lahat ng tags, oysters, horshoes etc. Ang tatapusin mo nalang is yung girlfriends at natitirang missions. Natapos ko ang laro. Sa istorya ng San Andreas, nagtraydor si Big Smoke at si Ryder para sa pera. Ipinagpalit nila ang "homies" kapalit ng droga. Hindi naman sila addicts pero pushers sila. Wala rin silang pakialam kung patayin nila si CJ samantalang inuutusan nila palagi si CJ. Lahat yata ng GTA ay may mga taong magtataksil.

Sa Godfather naman, si Monk, si Paulie, at si Tessio ay magtatraydor din. Si Monk ay nagtraydor dahil sa inggit. HIndi kasi siya katulad ng lead character (player) na tumataas ang rank. Nanatili siya bilang Capo at isa pa sa dahilan ng kanyang sama ng loob ay ang pagkamatay ng kanyang kapatid na syota ng player dahil sa kanyang loyalty sa Corleone. Pero di pa rin tumaas ang rank nya. Kaya naisip nya sumanib sa Cuneo at kumuha ng information sa Corleone para dalhin sa Cuneo. Handa rin patayin ni Monk ang player kaya ang player ang dapat mag-assassinate sa kanya. Si Paulie naman nagtraydor sa di malamang dahilan. Dahil din sa pagtataksil nya, tinamaan ng bala si Don Vito Corleone. At ang huli ay si Tessio. Si Tessio ay kasa-kasama ng Don. Ngunit nung namatay ang Don, sumama siya sa mga Barzini. Hindi ka naman nya tatangkain patayin pero yung mga tauhan nya yung papatay sayo.

Sa mga pelikula, hindi rin nawawala ang pagtataksil. Halimbawa na lamang sa Die Another Day, ang babae na nagapply sa M16 (agency ni James Bond) para maging side-kick ni Bond ay nagtraydor din. Sugo siya ng North Korea. Sa pelikulang Hitman, trinaydor si 47 ng kanyang agency kaya siya naghiganti. Sa Casino Royale naman, trinaydor si Bond nung babaeng minahal nya at binigay kay Mr. White ang napalunanang pera ni Bond sa Casino. Sa halos lahat ng cases ni Detective Conan, ang murder ay ginagawa ng patraydor na may dahilan na paghihiganti. At sa napakarami pang pelikula na nandyan ang mga traydor at backstabbers.

Kung wala nga namang kontrabida sa pelikula, maganda bang panuorin?

Kailangan talaga, mahulog muna sa isang trap ang bida bago pa nya malaman na trinaydor na siya. In that case, mahihirapan na siyang gumanti dahil kakilala nya ang nagtraydor. Sa Godfather, bago makipagpalitan ng putok ang player kay Monk, kinausap muna ito ng player ngunit nagpaputok na si Monk. Siyempre, kailangan palabasin na ang bida ay trinaydor para lalong ma-thrill ang mga manunuod at manlalaro. Kung lahat nga naman ng pagpapahirap ay mula sa isang extra, walang kwenta yung pinapanuod. Kaya hindi mo rin maaalis ang mga traydor.

Sa tunay na mundo, hindi rin sila pahuhuli. Halimbawa na lamang ang pagtagilid ng ibang pulitiko, bandido at ibang alagad ng batas. Tinatawag silang "balimbing". Hindi rin natin maiaalis ang pagtataksil dahil may mga rason kung bakit nila nagagawa yun.

Una ay ang inggit. Number one talagang dahilan yan. Minsan nga lang binibigyan nilang rason yung inggit nila kaya nagmumukha itong paghihiganti. Ito naman ang ikalawa at para makapaghiganti, kinakaibigan muna nila ang tao bago nila tinitira. Parang si Carl Johnson lang. Bago nya pinatay si Jeezy (ang pimp), kinuha muna nya ang tiwala nito. Pangatlo naman ang galit. Siyempre kung may paghihiganti ka, may galit ka. Pero minsan gumagawa na lang sila ng rason para ang inggit ay madagdagan ng galit.

Wala nang iba akong maisip na rason dahil karamihan pa ng ibang rason ay dumidirekta sa inggit.

2-Day Trip

After ilang months, nailabas na rin ng talyer ang aming sasakyan. At para i-road test inakyat ito ng Baguio.

Well una, nanghihinayang ako sa pagpunta dahil hindi ko dala ang camera. Dala ko man ang phone, hindi naman ito fully charged. The incident happened this way; nanunuod ako ng series ng DC sa PC ng nilapitan ako ng aking ama at sinabing, "i-road test natin to". Siyempre, pumayag na ako dahil matagal-tagal din akong hindi nakaranas ng lamig nang aming sasakyan. So sumama na ako. Nagtataka ako kasi iba na ang road na dinadaanan. Ang akala ko sa highway lang i-road test at hindi ko inaasahan na nakaakyat na kami ng baguio. Hindi rin kami nagtagal. Bumaba uli sa MAynila.

Actually, wastage lang ng diesel ang ginawa namin. Ni-hindi ako nakapaglakad or something. Well, hindi ito posted sa Multiply ko. Medyo tinatamad pa ako magpost at nagmamadali na akong manood.

Smoke to Death

"Smoking kills, unless you kill yourself."

The above sentence is a sentence usually heard in a radio station. Of course not in any radio stations in the REAL world but in San Andreas. Because of playing it before almost everyday, I always hear the same commercial in every radio station in the game. Though this ads exist only in a game, it shows to be true.

Every people nowadays already know what a cigarette looks like. I think, I will just waste my effort to describe the physical characteristics of the cigarette. As I have said, the above sentence is true. Why? Because smokers don't only bring death to their lungs but to other's too! This is called, "second-hand smoke". The people who inhales the smoke coming from the cigarette is more affected than the one holding the cigar or in Filipino slang, "yosi".

To make a short survey of smokers in some places in NCR (National Capital Region), I brought my own counter (as you can remember, the commercial of Ben Afleck in the Axe Click, the one he is holding, that's a counter) not to count the women but to count the smokers I meet and see along the way. Of course it starts with zero. From Manila, I traveled to Makati then Pasay then back to Manila. The counter showed a total of 872 smokers of any age smoking. I have conducted the short study in just 3 places for almost only 14 hours but it showed this much.

To make a short background on the effects of smoking, here are some. Take note, I had not taken it from the Internet. I really experienced this by some people around me. First example is our neighbor. He is a tough smoker. He consumes a whole carton or I guess 12-20 pieces of "yosi" a day. He said, he is smoking since he was just a teenager and he never felt anything happening. Many days, nights and weeks passed until one day, we heard him coughing very loud. Because we were once living in an apartment, and his house is just infront of us. Then after many weeks, we just knew he is undergoing a chemotherapy due to his Lung Cancer. Another is our mechanic. He is now half paralyzed due to his stroke.

Cigarette contains some of this DEADLY chemicals: (there are 600 chemicals in one stick and 40 of these are found carcinogenic.)
*Nicotine- this is the "addicting chemical" found in the cigarette. Some illegal drugs contain this also such as heroin and cocaine.
*Benzene- a carcinogenic chemical
*Carbon Monoxide- the gas usually "secreted" by the vehicles. (Imagine inhaling and exhaling the MUFFLER of a vehicle. Yuck.)
*Tar- a dark liquid material

Last comment about smoking. Well you can't quit smoking by just controlling yourself and not holding a stick. Of course your system always looks for the nicotine in which if you quit immediately, your body may become too weak. It should follow a process. You may ask a physician about it. Well one relative of mine said "Maraming namamatay sa lung cancer ng hindi nagyoyosi". Of course, lung cancer doesn't only occur to smokers! But preventing from smoking is a big prevention from having that ailment. Another is, I won't give a time talking about smoking if the smokers will be the only one affected by their cigars. But the sad thing is, even innocent people who dare not to hold a stick will be affected once they inhaled the smoke and the breath of the smoker.

Game Review: Grand Theft Auto versus The Godfather

Actually, I had not had my hands on the other Grand Theft Auto games. I had only played Vice City and San Andreas. Though I knew every story of every Grand Theft Auto games, and had seen their screenshots, I had not put myself as the protagonist. As a matter of fact, I had not ended the game, Vice City but made the San Andreas a 100% Ended Game. I had collected every horshoe, oysters and etc.



The San Andreas is of course had it's setting at San Andreas. San Andreas is divided into 3 cities. The Las Venturas which is like the Las Vegas, the San Fierro which looks like San Francisco and the Los Santos, an image of Los Angeles. Overall, San Andreas is in California. San Andreas has it's black american protagonist, Carl Johnson. HE was exiled into Liberty City because he felt guilty of the death of his brother. Upon returning to San Andreas due to his mother's death, he helped in every gang business they are into. At the end of the story, no other gang is existing in San Andreas except the Grove Street and some Northsiode Vagos I think (They are the one with the blue bandana and clothes in which Cesar Vialpando belongs). CJ, as his gang mates call him, earns friends and kills the other traitors. He also becomes rich after that.

In San Andreas, the protagonist is one of the gangsters. There are no ranks in their gang. CJ only do errands and missions in which he did sometimes with the help of recruited gang members. The story is set in 1992. CJ can kill everyone, even his gang members. He can also steal cars, enter police stations, stores etc. San Andreas has a wide variety of vehicles in which the player can choose to steal. CJ can walk on the streets even without any clothes. San Andreas has also radio stations whenever you are in a vehicle. You can also have your own User Track Player in which you can put the songs you like.



In the game, Godfather: The Game, there are some differences in which we can only see in San Andreas.

The Game in Godfather is set in New York, 1936-1955. Of course during those times, no punks or gangsters or other elements of evil appears. To give a background, Mario Puzo wrote the novel the Godfather and filmed in 1972 by Coppola. The game is introduced to the public in the year 2006 by EA games. The player can choose his own physical appearance, change the way he wants the protagonist to be and choose his own name. During those times, New York was controlled by 5 families,
the Corleone, the family in which you were recruited, the Cuneo, the Stracci, the Tattaglia who is the immediate rival of the Corleone family and the weakest of all the families and the Barzini, the strongest family and the family who killed your father and your lover.

The game starts showing the Godfather himself, Don Vito Corleone. Your father is a known supporter of the Corleone Family. In that case he was killed by the Barzini lead by Don Emilio Barzini. You were portrayed there as a child and Don Vito comforts you saying, "Save your anger." Then the story will go on.

You were found by Luca Brasi, beaten up by some punks (during those times, punks don't wear punk clothes. They still wear the normal clothes a normal human would wear.). Luca Brasi then teach you how to fight until you killed all the punks. You will start as an outsider.


Your life appears at the upper left corner. It is in the shade of green. Your respect level appears below your health. The blue-colored. Your money appears above your health. Your rank appears also above your head. In this case, he is classified as an outsider because, he had not yet acquired the Corleone symbol. If you rise in the ranks, you will see black lines which signifies your ranks. The weapon you use appears at the lower left corner. The mini map appears at the lower right. If ever you aim your gun at anyone, it's name and health will appear at the upper right corner of the window. When it is a rival family member, it will appear together with the Vendetta level, it's rank and the family it belongs into.

The more rival family you kill, the more vendetta level the family will acquire which will result into a mob war. In a mob war, you should bomb one of their establishments or bribe an FBI agent or G-men. But I guess it's much better to just bribe the FBI because once you bomb an establishment, the black market payout is also lost.

"When you don't make money, you never rise from family ranks." -Corleone soldier

You should extort businesses inorder to rise fro family ranks. You also have to do missions. You become an associate, solider, capo, underboss and Don.

Once you become a don, you should extort all businesses and get all hit contracts from Al Neri, Clemenza, The Trojan, Tessio. Once you get a percentage of 92%, you will have a new objective and it is the time you will be known as the Don of NYC (the video footage of my actual awarding will follow).

To sum it up, I had finished all missions, ended all hit missions, extorted every business and every rackets, bought all safehouses, taken over all warehouses, collected 25 film reels, bombed 31 safes that made me to a Don of NYC.

THE DIFFERENCES

Well of course, the first difference is; in the Godfather, you can choose whatever physical attributes your character will be. While in San Andreas, like it or not, you will be a black. Next is the carrying of weapons. In the godfather, once you take out your weapon, people in the streets will run as if you will kill them while in San Andreas, you can carry even a grenade launcher while walking. In the Godfather, you can bribe anyone which will give you benefit. You can bribe a cop so as not to have a wanted level, you can bribe an FBI Agent to win a mob war and you can bribe rackets and sometimes rival family members so as to get their support. In San Andreas, there is no need to do that. Just type a cheat. Also clothes are not available in safehouses in the game, Godfather. There are no clothes stores in the streets. You can rob a bank in the Godfather. You cannot kill your own family members, and as a matter of fact, you can see the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State tower but from afar. In the Godfather, there are only 4 vehicles to choose from. Every missions has also it's check points so that if you die, you will be redirected to your nearest saved checkpoint. Last is in San Andreas, you are called a gangster while in the Godfather, you are called a mobster.



If I will rate the game, my rating for San Andreas is 7 and 8 for the Godfather.


As a matter of fact, I ended the Godfather Game WITHOUT ANY CHEATS...
